Secure Login Procedures

We're taking Online Banking security to a whole new level!

Rockland Trust Online Banking utilizes the latest account authentication technology, including a secret image and caption, multilayer security, and three challenge questions that will be unique to you. This extra security lets you be assured with absolute certainty that you are logging on to the bank's website, not an imposter site, and that all your online information is completely secure. To get started, simply follow the steps below:

Step 1: Go to RocklandTrust.com

Now you login to Rockland Trust Online Banking right from our home page at RocklandTrust.com., by entering your user ID in the upper right hand corner of the homepage.

Step 2: Login with your temporary password

On the next screen you will be asked to enter your temporary password, which would have been sent to you from Rockland Trust via postal mail. Then click the 'Login' button. You will be asked to change this password once you have completed the authentication process.

Step 3: Select your PASSMARK Image

The system will pre-select an image for you. If you wish to keep the image simply click 'Continue'. If you wish to choose another image, select one from the presented list or choose a different category from the drop down menu.

Step 4: Name your image and set-up challenge questions

The next screen asks you to name your image as well as select and answer 3 challenge questions (Note: the image phrase is not your password, but another way to help secure the login process). Once complete, simply click 'Next'. You will then be asked to review and confirm the information. You can click 'Go Back' to make changes or 'Finished'.

Step 5: Change your password

If this is your first login to the Online Banking system, you will be asked to change your temporary password to a new password. Once you've entered your temporary password and then your new password (two times) simply click 'Next'. You will then be taken to the account summary screen of Online Banking where you will be able to view all of your accounts.

Each time you login...

You will be asked to enter your user ID as shown in Step 1. You will then see a screen where you will enter your password while being able to validate your unique Passmark image and phrase. If you're logging in from a computer that you have not registered as "Personal", you will be asked a challenge question to ensure your security. Remember, your image name is not your password. You should use the password you established in Step 5 above.
